About the city

Marne-la-Vallee is a town formed on the outskirts of Paris just 40 years ago. Although a fairly young city, it is quite heavily inhabited and offers many attractions. It has grown in fields like economy and industry, without forgetting to preserve the cultural past of the area or to promote its tourist attraction.

 

Many companies and institutions of the state have set up headquarters and factories in the area. Sounding names include Nestle, IBM, RATP, The Ministry of Finance and Chamber of Commerce de Seine-et-Marne. Transportation is a strong point in the city’s setup, as the network is well organized when it comes to trains and busses. The TGV has a station in the area, and further plans have been made to expand the railway’s influence in the region by adding more trains.
