Disneyland Paris
A heaven for children everywhere, the Disneyland resort in Paris brings joy to any visitor of any age that enters the magic realm. All the classic Disney characters are there to entertain visitors that decide to spend a day or more riding the attractions of the park.
The fairy tale started in 1985, with the selection of Marne la Vallee as the build location for the park, and it almost ended as a nightmare. On the 12th of April 1992, the resort opened in spite of massive protests and criticism due to the American origin of the Brand. Along the years, the park suffered financial losses due to its activity below expectations and several techniques applied, like name changes, forgiven interests and suspension of royalty payments managed to bring profit to the company in 1995.
Now, in 2008, the park celebrated its 16th anniversary, 16 years of public service which has brought the park to handle over 10 million visitors each year. The complex now contains everything from rides for all ages to bars, restaurants, hotels and even entertainment halls. And it promises to bring even more to fans all around the world…
